A lot’s happened since the last real-time update. I reached Rome a week ago, meaning I’m now down to the last (950km) stretch till Malta.
I stopped here for a bit of a break because I needed time to tie up some loose ends. I’ve worked on getting the trip some publicity, I’ve caught up on blog posts, and I’ve finalised the route I’ll be taking down to Reggio, the toe of the boot. They’ve been a productive few days.
Homebound’s now been featured on MaltaToday, inewsMalta, and most recently The Times.
It’s been great having the live donation system set up – I can see donations as they come in, and ever since the media coverage, coming in they’ve sure been. Thanks to all of you who contributed!
I’ve now got a whole series of blog posts lined up and waiting to be published. I’ll be releasing them gradually, so stay tuned and keep checking back for more.
Meanwhile, it’ll be a few more days till I head onwards, giving me some time to actually leave the house and walk through the eternal city. Expect some improvement in the daily photos to come!
Till next time,
Chris
